Hamilton Accies believe they can still topple Falkirk in title bid, says Lewis Smith

Lewis Smith admits everyone at Hamilton Accies is disappointed they failed to hit the heights in their top-of-the-table defeat to Falkirk, but insists they are capable of returning to the League One summit.

The 23-year-old winger hauled Accies level in Saturday's clash with a fine lobbed finish to make it 1-1 midway through the first half, but the the Bairns were the better side throughout and ran out 3-1 winners in the end to knock their rivals off top spot and march three points clear with a game in hand.

"At half-time, the gaffer had a bit of a dig at us to try and get us going.

"That showed when we came back out because we had a couple of good chances straight away with Dario [Zanatta] and Barjo [Jamie Barjones] having good shots.

"It would have been big to get a goal then because that would have put them under pressure.

"It wasn't to be, but I don't think anything is over yet.

"We are not even halfway through the season yet. It
