Dover Athletic offer fans free entry to Crabble for National League South match against Eastbourne Borough in December
Dover Athletic plans to give something back to their fans this Christmas.
Whites will allow supporters to enter their National League South home game against Eastbourne on Saturday, December 20, for free.
The initiative, led by chairman Jim Parmenter, was announced by the club on Saturday as they made use of a fixture-free weekend. It aims to bring the community together before the festive season.
He said: “Times are tough for everyone right now and, while the club isn’t immune to those pressures, we wanted to give something back to the town.
“Dover has always stood together through difficult moments and this is our way of saying ‘Thank you for your loyalty and support’.
“We’d love to see the ground full of local families, enjoying a great afternoon.”
Dover have returned to playing National League South football under manager Jake Leberl this season and the fixture against Eastbourne offers fans a chance to show their backing for the team in their penultimate clash at Crabble in 2025.
Whites will then play Maidstone in a Boxing Day derby at the Gallagher Stadium ahead of home league matches against Ebbsfleet on Tuesday, December 30, and Torquay on Saturday, January 3.
“It’s a brilliant gesture from Jim and the club,” Leberl said. “The support we’ve had home and away has been fantastic, and the players really feed off that.
“Hopefully, with free entry, we can pack the ground, create a great atmosphere and give everyone something to cheer about before Christmas.”
Dover visit Horsham on Tuesday before a home match against Enfield next weekend.
