Dessers price set, Hagi charm offensive and £10m Butland exit pitch – Rangers transfer clearout state of play

Rangers are reportedly still willing to accept an offer for Cyriel Dessers - IF they can recoup the fee they paid out for the striker last summer.

The 29-year-old has been the first-choice striker for the Light Blues since Philippe Clement stepped into the hot seat last season to lead the line with alternative striking options Danilo and Hamza Igamane ramping up their fitness behind the scenes at Auchenhowie. However, the Nigeria international has been linked with a move away from the Scottish Premiership with PAOK and Cagliari both floated as potential destinations.

It has also been reported that a move to Major League Soccer was all-but agreed before Dessers knocked back the chance to sign for Atalanta United. The Rangers Review now claim that Rangers’ stance on selling the forward has "remained unchanged" this summer - and if they can bring in the £4.5million they paid Cremonese a sale would be made "in line with player-trading intentions."
