Craig Moore blasts Rangers calamity at Aris as worst he's seen with 'rock bottom' confidence fuelling a new low

Craig Moore reckons Rangers losing to Aris ranks with the worst Light Blues display he has EVER seen.

The fuming former Ibrox man was brutally honest in his review of interim boss Steven Davis' side who crashed to a damaging 2-1 defeat in Limassol in the Europa League. Life after axed boss Michael Beale could not have gotten off to a worse start as the Cypriot champions dented the Euro campaign for Rangers and left fans beleaguered in the process. And former star Moore has cast his mind back to his playing days and the years he has spent as a supporter but reckons nothing was worse than Thursday.

His fellow countryman Kevin Muscat could be the man to turn the tide around with Record Sport revealing the Yokohama Marinos boss and former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard have held talks for the Ibrox hot seat. But Moore believes whoever the next boss is will meet a squad that is at the 'lowest of the low' with confidence in the players at rock bottom.

He told Go Radio: "I have to be really, really honest. I think that's the worst I've seen in terms of my memories of playing days, supporting and understanding the club at a top, top level. That was as poor as I've seen.

"When things aren't going well, the start is everything, but there was no start. In the first fifteen to twenty minutes, absolutely at sixes and sevens.

"It didn't get any better. I think Rangers in terms of confidence, it's clear to see that its at rock bottom. It really is.

"We know there's a lot of discussions going on about who is going to be next, after last night's performance, I think things would be accelerated. Rangers would be working extremely hard to work through things because clearly signs of the squad and its wellbeing in terms of confidence and
