Abdallah Sima banishes Rangers pain as he shares shirt swap snap with Aris star after Cyprus shocker
Abdallah Sima has shared a snap of him swapping jerseys with a victorious Aris star after a Rangers' damaging defeat in Limassol.
The post-match criticism levied at interim boss Steven Davis and Co was heavy, days after Michael Beale was axed from his position and the Ibrox side in something of a slump. Sima, who has been a standout since arriving on loan from Brighton, helped to lift spirits with a cool finish against St Mirren on Sunday, as Rangers signed off before the international break manager-less, but with a win. And the Senegalese forward has taken to social media to repost a picture shared by Aris forward and fellow countryman Yannick Gomis.
The pair smiled and posed for a photo with each other's jerseys after Rangers fell to defeat in the Europa League, with Sima's goal proving to be just a consolation for the fuming travelling supporters. Yet the 22-year-old seems now to have banished that pain, with Gomis posting the picture to his Instagram with the caption: "A pleasure," after playing 90 minutes against the Light Blues.
