Limassol rub more salt in Rangers wounds as John Lundstram mocked mercilessly with MUPPET potshot

Limassol have rubbed more salt in Rangers' wounds - taking the mick out of John Lundstram with the help of a MUPPET sock puppet.

The Cypriot side picked up a shock Europa League win over Steven Davis' team last week as the Ibrox crisis plunged from bad to worse. Limassol led 2-0 by the hour mark and while Abdallah Sima got one back with 20 minutes to play, a Europa League comeback wasn't forthcoming. They got things back on track at the weekend against St Mirren but their Euro defeat in Cyprus will linger for a while.

Well, it certainly will if Limassol have anything to say about it. They've stuck the boot in on social media in the days since, taking to their TikTok to post clips from The Office and WWE to mark the occasion. And they've now gone for the jugular again with a dig at Lundstram for a stray effort which sailed over the bar.

They posted a nine-second clip, the first half of which shows Lundstram trying his luck with his left foot from the edge of the box. As the shot sails over the bar, it then cuts to a clip of a Muppet sock puppet being hit by an errant ball and spilling his cereal. You can watch the clip here.
