Coronation Street star Sally Ann Matthews sent congratulations by co-stars after 'proud' family update
Coronation Street star Sally Ann Matthews has been flooded with congratulatory messages from her co-stars - but not for herself. It came as the actress took to social media to share a 'proud' family update.
Sally Ann, who is known for playing Jenny Connor in the ITV soap, took to Instagram with some news about one of her sons. Away from the cobbles, Sally Ann is happily married to senior barrister Nicholas Rhodes, having tied the knot in 1999. But the soap star previously revealed how her screen commitment made it difficult to strike up romantic relationships at the start of her career.
Sally Ann and Nick live together in London and have two children, and while she often shares photos of her husband on her Instagram, her boys, Louis and James, are more rarely seen. However, that has now changed as the soap star took to Instagram to share some rare photos of her son, James as he graduated from university.

The first picture showed James beaming as he walked across the stage in his cap and gown. Before he posed for a picture alongside his mum who couldn't have looked more thrilled and proud.
Captioning the post to her 105,000 followers, Sally Ann wrote: "A brace of lawyers at my house. Huge congratulations @jamesrho3 - we’re incredibly proud of you." And it didn't take long for many of her Corrie co-stars to respond.
Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe in the ITV soap, said: "Congratulations." Todd Boyce, who recently left the long-running show as Stephen Reid, replied: "Fantastic! Congratulations."
