Coronation Street's 'hideous' star's famous dad says 'least I can do' before teaming up with cobbles favourite

Coronation Street star Luca Toolan has had his character branded 'hideous' by his famous dad before being seen teaming up with his son's co-star. Luca recently joined the ITV soap as Weatherfield High student Mason Radcliffe.

The character hasn't been on viewers' good side as the nasty bully targets Liam Connor. Last week on Corrie things took a horrifying turn when Mason pulled out a knife to threaten his innocent and heartbroken victim.

Unbeknownst to Liam, his step-sibling Jake Windass contacted the police and soon, Mason was stopped in the street by PC Craig Tinker and was searched but to no avail and things have only gotten worse for Liam. During Monday night's (November 28) Corrie, viewers saw Liam trying to convince his mum Maria to let him stay home from school, as he pretended to be sick.

She didn't believe him and sent him off to school, where he found himself in Mrs Crawshaw's office over the mention of selling vapes. Later, Liam was blindsided by Mason on his way home. The bully ripped apart his school bag and threw it on top of a van where Liam couldn't reach it.

Mason then filmed Liam as he forced him to climb up onto the van to retrieve his belongings. Heading home, Maria clocked her son's ripped bag but he refused to talk. And after shutting himself in his room, Liam was later horrified to see a leaked video posted online, showing him struggling to retrieve the bag.

While Corrie scenes have left fans heartbroken, the actors who play Mason and Liam have been proving things couldn't be any more different off-screen,
