Coronation Street's Toyah actress seen with co-star 'sister' as they welcome in 2025 together

Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has shown just how close she is to her castmates as she said one of them is like her 'sister' as they welcomed in the new year together.

The actress, known for playing Toyah Habeeb in the ITV soap, has been involved in the festive action on the cobbles alongside fellow Corrie star Julia Goulding, who fans will know for portraying Weatherfield's Shona Platt.

Both women have had storylines running throughout the Christmas period, with Toyah arrested for fraud after being set-up by her sister Leanne Battersby as revenge for her relationship with her ex Nick Tilsley, while Shona left her relationship with David Platt in tatters as her and Kit Green's secret liaisons came to light on Gail Platt's wedding day.

Away from Corrie, the actors are living calmer lives and were seen marking the end of 2024 and ringing in 2025 together on Tuesday night (Decemeber 31).

Georgia shared a polaroid picture of her and Julia to Instagram in which they appeared close and beaming for the camera Captioning the post, the soap star said: "Happy new year from me and my sister from another mister @julia_goulding #plattersby."

Their Corrie co-star Sally Carman-Duttin, who plays Abi Webster, was quick to respond, writing: "Gorgeous gals!" while former castmate Bhavna Limbachia said: "Love you ladies." Actress and Loose Women star Sunetra Sarker also replied: "Happy new year you gorgeous being," as fans also rushed to comment.
