Coronation Street fans think they may have spotted a blunder as Sarah Barlow discovered the father of her unborn child. The Underworld manager discovered she was pregnant earlier this month after her affair with Damon Hay was exposed.

She told her stunned husband Adam Barlow the news but didn't get the best reception as the solicitor wanted to know if it was his or Damon's. In previous ITV soap scenes, Sarah tried to broach the subject of the paternity test to Adam but he refused to entertain it.

However, he later suffered his first panic attack while presenting a client's case in court with Dee-Dee Bailey rushing out to help him. After speaking to Sarah, she later found a distressed and vulnerable Adam curled up on the sofa who then explained that his panic stemmed from fears about not being the baby’s father.

Sarah instinctively told him he has no reason to worry. However, Adam misunderstood and assumed she had the paternity test results back that confirmed he was in fact the father.

But during the latest trip to the cobbles on Wednesday night (July 26), Sarah discovered the truth about the paternity of her unborn child. Early into the episode, Sarah railed at her uncle Stephen Reid as she found the results of the test among his stuff as it was thrown out of his flat by Tim Metcalfe following his split from his mum, Elaine.

Sarah had torn up the results and disposed of them in the bin and so was shocked to see the letter among Stephen's belongings as they crashed to the floor on the street. Meanwhile, Adam suffered another panic attack in the Rovers before being found by Daniel Osbourne who encouraged him to talk about what
