Coronation Street fans say 'can I ask' as they're distracted by Peter Barlow

Coronation Street fans were left quite distracted by Peter Barlow as he featured in the soap's latest scenes with Ryan Connor. Unbeknownst to Peter and his wife Carla, Ryan is undergoing extreme lengths to get his desired 'gym body' after suffering life-changing injuries.

It is no secret to the fans of the ITV soap that Ryan has been struggling since he was dosed in acid by Justin Rutherford. The DJ stepped in the path of Daisy Midegley following weeks of harassment from Justin as he came to attack her in the Rovers on her wedding day leaving him with horrific scars.

But following his return from Ireland where he visited his mum, Michelle, Ryan appeared in better spirits and spoke to Carla and Peter about his new fitness regime, ordering and setting up equipment in his room at their flat. However, they are none the wiser that Ryan has been injecting himself with steroids.

And his obsession has only continued after Carla accidentally posted a snap of her nephew's tone torso online which quickly gained attraction, giving Ryan, after his initial upset, the idea of setting up his own fitness influencer account to document his progress.

During Wednesday night's trip to the cobbles (August 2), Peter was seen taking a gander at Ryan's new social media account and joked that Ryan will eventually get to the same level of fitness physique as him before supporting his new venture.

But as the scenes played out, Corrie fans were distracted by the same thing when it came to Peter, played by actor Chris Gascoyne. @soaps_extra tweeted: "Can I ask why Peter had sweaty armpits in that scene? #Corrie."
