Celtic NEED to deliver and Rangers will find St Johnstone tough nut to crack as title race heats up - Saturday Jury

MICHAEL GANNON: We can’t put the genie back in the bottle. It just needs to be more consistent and officials could do with only using it when really necessary.

SCOTT BURNS: I was all for it initially but since it has come in I have changed my mind. It is not improving our game and I would prefer to see it binned. The problem is that we have introduced it and I don’t think there will be any turning back.

FRASER WILSON: I would love them to. And I think the vast majority of fans, players and managers would too no matter what their thoughts were at the outset. It’s just ruining the flow of the game. But it’s here to stay so the best hope is that it could perhaps be streamlined.

MICHAEL: It will be as you were as both sides will need to grind our narrow wins.

SCOTT: I would go for Celtic to remain on top this weekend. I know Kilmarnock have a top record against Celtic but the pressure is now on the Hoops and they need to deliver. St Johnstone will also be a tough nut for Rangers to crack.

FRASER: Neither side is going to get it easy against Kilmarnock or St Johnstone but the minds must be focused now and two narrow victories, possibly both by a single goal, will keep things bubbling along nicely.

MICHAEL: It would be nice to see an 18 team division but it’s not going to happen. Clubs want three or four cracks at the Old Firm, while those two need four clashes to get the TV dough.

SCOTT: I think we need a bigger top league but I don’t think we have enough teams of the required quality.

I would go to 16 teams but I would want some sort of pathway for young academy players.
