Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli suffer Arsenal injury scares ahead of Manchester City title run-in

Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli were both forced off with injury during their side's 6-0 win over Sheffield United on Monday night, with Mikel Arteta dropping an update on his star duo ahead of the Premier League title run-in with Manchester City and Liverpool.

Saka left the field at half-time having looked uncomfortable after taking a shot in the first half. He engaged briefly with the physio before exiting the pitch, with Fabio Vieira taking his place.

"Bukayo was feeling sick and he wasn't feeling right so we decided to take him off and bring Fabio in," Arteta revealed post-game.

Shortly after Saka's exit, Martinelli also had to leave the game. After injuring his foot while shooting, he needed assistance from two physios and was replaced just after the hour mark.

"We had a little issue with Gabi Martinelli. He had a little cut in his foot. We need to see how it is.", Arteta said.

Before departing, Martinelli managed to score, while Saka contributed with two assists in a stunning first half performance against the league's bottom club.

Despite these setbacks, Arsenal have been strengthened by the returns of Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Vieira from their individual injuries.
