Bojan Miovski touted for Celtic transfer as John Hartson names fee that would be 'good business' for Aberdeen striker

Former Celtic striker hero John Hartson values Aberdeen marksman Bojan Miovski at around the £4million mark and reckons that would be “good business” for his old club as he urged them to make the signings that will tip the title race in their favour in the second half of the season.

The Welshman believes the Hoops board should deliver the quality Brendan Rodgers has asked for in the January transfer window with Hartson predicting a Scottish Premiership challenge from a Rangers side revitalised under Philippe Clement.

Miovski was signed for a bargain £535,000 from MTK Budapest 18 months ago and has been a revelation in Scotland. The 24-year-old Macedonian international has been touted for both Celtic and Rangers and Hartson believes he could be a shrewd acquisition for the Hoops. He told the Sunday Post: “I’ve seen Bojan Miovski a few times and I really like the look of him. I think he’d do well at Celtic. He has been a regular goalscorer for Aberdeen and knows what it takes at this level and for his country, Macedonia. Bojan has a nice first touch, holds the ball up well and brings others into play. He also powers towards goal when the time is right and causes defenders all sorts of problems.

“In terms of a transfer fee, different numbers have been mentioned, from £3million to £6m. The bottom line is that Aberdeen will have their value and any interested club will know what they think he’s worth. Personally, I’d have him in the bracket between £3.5m and £4m.
