BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Janette Manrara says 'this is the truth' as she shares desperation after It Takes Two

Janette Manrara has told fans 'this is the truth' as she shared her desperation at wanting to get home after her latest appearance on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two. The show's former professional dancer has been back sharing hosting duties on the weeknight show with new co-presenter Fleur East.

But Janette hasn't shied away from her feelings when it comes to having to leave her baby daughter at home in Cheshire as she heads down to work in London. Janette and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec, who moved to Cheshire earlier this year, welcomed their first child into the world at the end of July.

The couple discovered the happy news they were expecting before starting IVF treatment and later welcomed Lyra Rose via C-section on July 28. They confirmed Lyra's arrival in a social media post shared on both of their Instagram pages featuring the first adorable photo of the new family of three in the hospital.

And after spending some time in their baby bubble, Janette and Aljaz have since been heading back to work with Janette appearing at the helm of It Takes Two a couple of nights a week. But taking to Instagram after her latest stint on Thursday (November 2), the new mum admitted it isn't always easy.

Sitting in her dressing room, sporting more casual clothes while her hair and makeup was still all done from her TV appearance, she said to the camera: "I've just wrapped on It Takes Two. My eyes are red, it's been a long day and now i'm not done because I've fot to do some recording."
