Sport ministry to focus on grassroots development, says Enoh

The Minister of Youth and Sport Development, John Owah Enoh congratulating the winner, Isaac Gana at the event.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has said the ministry will focused on the development of sports at the grassroots level.

Enoh, who stated this in Lagos during the October edition of the Pitstop monthly criterium, he also spoke about his plans to accelerate sport development in the country.

The minister said: “Our focus is on grassroots sports development. And overall, to see how we can create and achieve a sports revolution in our country.”

Commending the PitStop Lagos Community for promoting cycling, Enoh promised to support the sport, expressing the hope that such initiatives would be replicated across the country.

General Manager, PitStop Lagos, Mr. Opeyemi Adegboro, said the objective of the criterium is to raise cyclists that are ready for competitions, while developing grassroots cycling and producing professional cyclists.
