BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans spot couple's 'third wheel' as they're seen in tears and being comforted

Strictly Come Dancing fans have jokingly spotted one couple's 'third wheel' as things got emotional in the ballroom. It was a big night for the seven remaining couples as they ditched the usual ballroom in the Elstree studio for the iconic Tower Ballroom.

As is the show's annual tradition, the cast and crew packed up and headed to Blackpool for the special week which was broadcast live to those watching at home from the seaside town.

Everyone wanted to put their best foot forward as they performed in the famous venue with extra dancers and extra props. Following a spectacular opening sequence from the show's talented professional dancers, EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell were the first couple to dance.

They delivered a colourful and energetic jive to Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham! before the rest of the couples took to the sprung floor with Quicksteps, Charleston and American Smooth galore.

But things got emotional after Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu performed. They brought viewers a dramatic Argentine Tango to Back To Black by Amy Winehouse and were seen both dressed in black for the intense routine which came with a circle of moody lighting which they performed within.

Anton Du Beke complimented Angela's "beautiful" legs before saying the dance was his favourite of the night. Craig Revel Horwood, however, continued his critiquing form throughout the night and disagreed with his fellow judge saying "the legs were stiff."
