BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Amanda Abbington's fiance breaks silence after dramatic exit

Strictly Come Dancing star Amanda Abbington's fiance has broken his silence after the actress dramatically quit the show.

The 51-year-old, who was partnered with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, said she left the popular BBC competition due to 'personal reasons' in an Instagram post on Tuesday. The news of her withdrawal from Strictly was confirmed in a statement from officials on the spin-off show It Takes Two on Monday evening.

Now, Amanda's partner Jonathan Goodwin has issued an update - followed by a cryptic message. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, ITV Britain's Got Talent star Jonathan pledged his support to Amanda and fellow actress Dame Sue Vincent for their continued charity work before Christmas, reports BirminghamLive.

I can help you... and you can help some people who are in need of support and kindness."

However, hours later he posted a cryptic message to his Instagram stories. Uploading a photo of an iceberg, he wrote: "When you see an iceberg you could be forgiven for not realizing just how much is below the surface.

"The same is true of people. Don't be quick to judge a person or situation if you don't know what's below the surface..."

Jonathan had thrown his support behind Amanda when she
