BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans say Krishnan is ‘what the show is about’ as he loses dance off

Strictly Come Dancing viewers said Krishnan Guru-Murthy is ‘what the show is about’ as he became the seventh contestant to be eliminated from the show. The broadcaster faced Angela Rippon in the dance-off, but the judges decided to save Angela and her partner Kai Widdrington.

Krishnan and his partner Lauren Oakley performed the Sambra to Bamboléo by Gipsy Kings, while Angela and Kai danced the Paso Dablo to Hung Up by Madonna. Three of the judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all chose to save Angela, while Shirley said she would have saved Krishnan.

When asked by Tess about his time on the show, Krishnan said: “Look this has been the most incredible experience. I said it has been life changing and it genuinely has.” He also thanked all of the team involved in the show.

@Kel_elizabeth said: “Goodbye & well done Krishnan! He is what strictly should all be about. Novice dancer,
