BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice sends 'special' message to co-star amid final 'snub'

Giovanni Pernice made a 'special' comment towards his Strictly Come Dancing co-star as he delighted fans with his return to the ballroom. The professional dancer was forced to make an early exit from the BBC One dance contest last month after returning for the 2023 series.

Giovanni was partnered with Amanda Abbington for the 2023 series but despite doing well in the competition, she suddenly confirmed she couldn't continue. The actress pulled out of one of the live shows due to 'medical reasons' before it was announced Amanda would be leaving the show altogether due to 'personal reasons'.

This has meant fans have only seen the star popping up during the live show with his fellow pro dancers and the remaining celebrities during Claudia Winkleman's 'Claudatroim' segments. However, after missing some of the routines, Giovanni was seen during Sunday night's results show back in the group number.

Giovanni was also seen taking to the dancefloor with Dianne Buswell as Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli appeared in the ballroom for a performance of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah which he performed alongside his 11-year-old daughter, Virginia.

Taking to Instagram after the pre-recorded show aired on Sunda night (November 12), Nadiya Bychkova shared a string of gorgeous photos of herself and Giovanni cuddling up as they were partnered during the tear-jerking Remembrance Sunday routine that opened the show.
