Alison Hammond breaks silence over NTAs snub as she shares 'failing' message after This Morning booed

Alison Hammond has broken her silence as she suffered a double loss at the National Television Awards. The presenter was up for an individual gong at the star-studded ceremony which took place on Tuesday night (September 5) at London's O2 Arena while This Morning was also nominated.

The ITV daytime show, who were reportedly 'booed' at the event, was nominated in the 'Daytime' award category despite a turbulent time behind-the-scenes of the popular programme in recent months following the Phillip Schofield scandal.

But This Morning, who had been on a winning streak having taken home the gong at the awards ceremony every year since 2011, lost its best daytime show title at the 2023 NTAs as The Repair Shop claimed the prestigious prize with host Jay Blades making the acceptance speech.

Meanwhile, Alison also missed out on the 'presenter' award after Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly picked up the silverware for the 22nd year in a row. But speaking out on Wednesday morning (September 6), Alison shared a message about 'failing' as she appeared to enjoy her night out anyway.

Posting a picture from the biggest night in the TV calendar which showed Holly Willoughby taking a selfie of herself, Alison, Rochelle Humes, Dr Zoe Williams, Sharon Marshall, Dr Scott Miller and Vanessa Feltz, she penned to her 1.4 million followers: "What a night of happiness at the @officialntas with @thismorning, we had the best time."
