Susanna Reid 'sorry' as she's suddenly replaced on Good Morning Britain after heading to work morning after NTAs

Susanna Reid had to be suddenly replaced on Good Morning Britain despite heading into work at the London-based studio the morning after the National Television Awards. The presenter wasn't nominated on the night, nor was the ITV news programme, but the stars of the show were still out in force at the biggest night in the TV calendar.

Prior to hitting the red carpet, Susanna took to social media where she showed off her dazzling look for the star-studded evening, which took place at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday (September 5).

The 52-year-old was branded 'absolutely gorgeous' as she beamed for the camera in a red, one-sleeved dress that had been adorned with plenty of sparkle. She styled her new shorter locks into beachy waves and stuck to bronze and pink hues when it came to her makeup palette.

"NTAs!!! Thank you @makeupmel for glamming me up & @debbiedresses for dressing me up @raishmacouture @officialntas," Susanna typed alongside the post before the compliments came flooding in. She also posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Off to @OfficialNTAs - not nominated, so can’t lose! #winners @gmb Glam by Mel Dress by @RaishmaCouture."

She later added: "FAB NIGHT! At the @OfficialNTAs CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners & nominees." And it appears Susanna did enjoy herself as she was unable to go live on air on GMB on Wednesday (September 6).

Charlotte Hawkins was instead drafted in to partner Ed Balls at the helm of the mid-week edition of the show with Charlotte explaining the change at the top of the latest programme. "Good morning to you, this is a bit of an unscheduled appearance for me this morning!" she said.
