AEW Rampage Results: Jay White victorious in impressive debut.
This week’s edition of AEW Rampage featured the AEW in-ring debut of The Bullet Club’s “Switchblade” Jay White as he went one on one with Best Friends Trent Beretta. While Adam Cole looked to keep his undefeated streak alive and add to his resume in his quest for AEW gold.
Adam Cole def Dark Order’s 10-
Following Cole and Red Dragon’s blindsided attack on AEW World Champion, Hangman Adam Page on Dynamite. The Dark Order was out for revenge for their friend as Preston “10” Vance looked to be the first man to officially put a dent on Adam Cole’s perfect record in AEW.
As Cole and Vance locked up it was evident that Cole was going to have a hard time outpowering the big man as he failed to move him with an attempted shoulder tackle.
The ring IQ of Cole proved evident as he changed his game plan and targeted the knee of Vance. As Vance attempted to make a comeback it was noticeable that his knee was nowhere near 100 percent and the fatigue eventually caused it to give out allowing Cole to connect with a vicious pump kick.
In the closing moments of the bout, Vance would plant Cole with a discus lariat but a low blow from Cole allowed him to capitalise and connect with the BOOM to pick up the victory.
Powerhouse Hobbs def Dante Martin- Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match Qualifier
The rivalry between Martin and Team Taz was as hot as ever and it proved evident as Hobbs constructed an attack on Martin before the bell could even ring for the contest to begin.
Martin would regain some momentum in the match, levelling Hobbs with a springboard corkscrew to take him down on the outside before following up with a missile dropkick.
