Tony Khan: AEW President announces the purchase of ROH.

Fans have speculated what Tony Khan’s huge announcement would be and on last night’s Dynamite we finally got our answer.

For weeks it has been teased and rumoured that AEW CEO and President Tony Khan has something big up his sleeve for the future of AEW and we just found out exactly what that was last night.

To open the show on Dynamite Tony Khan took to the ring alongside Tony Schiavone to address the AEW fans on the revelation of the top-secret plans that he has had in the works for some time now.

Tony Khan has smashed open the forbidden door once more by announcing that he has purchased one of the most valued and respected companies in the world. This is Ring Of Honour wrestling otherwise known as ROH.

ROH has produced talent that has gone on to be some of the most decorated names in professional wrestling of our generation. The likes of Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins, Christopher Daniels, Austin Aries, Jay Lethal, Adam Cole, and many more.

ROH officially announced back in October 2021 that the company would be finishing up the year as they financially couldn’t afford to continue with their annual Final Battle being the finale for the legendary organisation.

However, after three months Tony Khan has resurrected ROH from the ashes to resurge honour back into professional wrestling.It is unknown whether we will see a crossover between AEW and ROH soon but what we do know is that the first ROH return show has officially been announced with Supercard of Honor announced for the 1st of April 2022.
