When does the transfer window close? Deadline time and date for summer 2022

The summer transfer window is now open and it’s already proving to be busier than the relatively quiet one from January this year.

Big moves in the Premier League this summer have seen Man City and Liverpool land themselves new strikers, in the shape of Erling Haarland and Darwin Nunez, the latter joining the club for a record fee.

Paul Pogba leaving Man United and Romelu Lukaku moving to Inter Milan on loan have also attracted attention – and there’s plenty more business to be done before the transfer window closes.

Just when will that be? The Premier League transfer window closes on Thursday September 1 at 11pm. The transfer window for the EFL slams shut at the same time as the top flight, while the Spanish, German, Italian and French transfer windows also close on 1 September.
