Kobbie Mainoo has been hailed by Manchester United supporters after his individual performance for the club's Under-18 side against Blackburn.

Travis Binnion's team thrashed Blackburn 6-1 in the U18 Premier League encounter, with goals from James Nolan, Manni Norkett, Adam Berry, Ethan Williams and Maximillian Oyedele.

However, despite not getting on the scoresheet, it was the performance of United youngster Mainoo that got fans talking,. with the Stockport-born midfielder dictating play from the middle of the park.

The 17-year-old — who was promoted into Binnion’s Under-18s squad in 2021 — played a big part in United's second goal on Sunday, picking the ball up in midfield before beating three opposition players and unleashing a shot on goal.
