Several Manchester United supporters felt Cristiano Ronaldo was denied a legitimate goal less than five minutes into the start of the second half of Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
After a dire first-half showing from Erik ten Hag's side, in which they were lucky to head back to the dressing room with the scores still level at 0-0, they thought they had got their noses in front just three minutes after the restart.
Newcastle were awarded a free-kick just outside their own penalty area and Ronaldo thought the visitors had taken it quickly when it was rolled back to goalkeeper Nick Pope.

However, the Portuguese star was quickly denied what he thought was the 701st goal of his club career by referee Craig Pawson.
