Tottenham Hotspur are ‘definitely looking’ to add another creative midfielder to their squad before the end of the transfer window, although a move for James Maddison may be too big an ask, according to Ryan Taylor of the Daily Express. Antonio Conte has overseen a busy summer of business at Hotspur Way but could still add to his squad ahead of the September 1 deadline.

Six new players have made their way to north London this summer and signed with Spurs including Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Djed Spence and Ivan Perisic.

With Champions League football returning to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium his season, Conte was no doubt eager to ensure he had the strength in depth needed to compete on all fronts.

But the Italian may not be done in the market just yet. It has previously been reported that he wants to add a new creative midfielder to his side with Leicester City ace Maddison an apparent target.
