Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have an admiration for Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison, according to Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports.
The 25-year-old has entered contract talks with the Foxes this summer, but there is still the possibility that Antonio Conte’s side could make a move for Maddison in a future transfer window. What’s the latest on Maddison? With Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle United all reportedly interested in a move for Maddison this summer, it had been suggested by Dean Jones, who was speaking on the Done Deal Show, earlier in the window that the Coventry-born midfielder may have preferred a move to the former two clubs over Eddie Howe’s side.
However, it was Newcastle whose interest seemed to be the most genuine, with the club having two bids rejected for the midfielder, the latest of which was reported to be worth over £40m, with Leicester wanting £60m for the attacking midfielder.
However, with talks of a new contract underway at the King Power Stadium, all three interested clubs have suffered a blow in their pursuit of the one-time England international.
