Tottenham Hotspur could finally replace Christian Eriksen with Leicester City’s James Maddison, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke. Maddison has been strongly linked with a move away from the Foxes in recent months, and Hotspur Way has been sounded out as a potential destination for the in-demand star.
Over the summer, Paul O’Keefe, who is an FA Registered Intermediary, has claimed that Tottenham were ‘very seriously considering’ making a move for Maddison.
A formal offer failed to materialise from Spurs, though, but Newcastle United did try their luck for the one-cap England international.
The Guardian revealed that the Magpies saw two offers rebuffed for Maddison by Leicester, with the second totalling £50 million as his current employers value him at £60m.
