St Johnstone striker Chris Kane could be back involved in the squad THIS weekend. The experienced Perth forward has been absent for well over a year, initially with a knee issue and then after picking up a couple of niggles.

But interim manager Steven MacLean this week revealed cup double winner Kane has been completing full training sessions and is on the brink of a comeback.

MacLean said the 28-year-old has been given the nod from medical staff. “Chris trained on Sunday,” MacLean said. “He then trained on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Full training. “It is good to have him back around the squad. I’m happy with him. “He was getting a bit giddy on Tuesday wanting to do extra stuff.
