Sadio Mane was involved in an awkward interview at the Ballon d’Or awards when he had no idea who former footballer, Ludovic Obraniak, was.

The Bayern Munich star was present in Paris for the ceremony after enjoying a tremendous 2021/22 season. He scored 23 goals in 51 matches for Liverpool last campaign as he helped them win the FA Cup and League Cup.

He also had great success at international level. He scored the winning penalty as Senegal beat Egypt to be crowned 2021 Africa Cup of Nations winners, and then did the same thing against the same opponents to qualify his country to the 2022 World Cup.

Mane, who was one of the favourites to win the 2022 Ballon d'Or, was involved in an awkward interview shortly after arriving at the gala.
