Detectives are appealing for information after a pregnant woman died following a crash on the M66. Frankie Hough, 38, had been travelling southbound on the motorway, near Bury, at the time of the crash at around 3.10pm on Saturday (May 13).

She was with her two young children, nine-year-old Tommy and two-year-old Rocky, and her four-year-old nephew Tobias at the time of the collision.

Frankie, who was pregnant, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died in hospital as a result of her injuries today (Monday).

Two of the children were taken to hospital with serious injuries, and one with minor injuries. A 22-year-old man, who was arrested at the scene, has since appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court.
