An update has emerged on Newcastle United and their pursuit of Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window…  According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via The Express), the Magpies are preparing a ‘significant’ bid to sign the Napoli star ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

The report claims that the Toon are coming in for him for the second time after they tried to land him during the January window and failed to agree a fee for his services.

It has been reported that the Italian outfit want an offer in the region of €110m (£94m) to sell the gem this summer and it remains to be seen how much PIF are willing to pay for him.

If Newcastle can get a deal over the line for Osimhen in the coming weeks then they will be landing a big upgrade on current first-choice Callum Wilson.
