Mercedes driver arrested after biker, 41, suffers 'life-changing' injuries in horror crash

A biker has suffered 'life-changing' injuries after a horror crash in Cheshire. It happened on Winwick Lane in Croft near Warrington at around 9:20pm on Friday night (May 26).

A grey Mercedes C350 car was involved in a collision with a black Yamaha motorbike Cheshire Police said. The bike rider, a 41-year-old man from Warrington was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

In a statement then force described the man's injuries as life-changing. The driver of the Mercedes, a 44-year-old man from Ellesmere Port, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Sergeant Andrew Dennison from Cheshire Police said: “This is a busy stretch of road and I know that even at this time of night motorists would have been using it. “We have a number of enquiries underway and as part of those we are urging anyone who has any dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist us from the area around the time of the collision and has not yet done so, to please get in touch. “The same goes to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the vehicles around the time of the incident.
