United are said to be looking for a long-term replacement for England international Luke Shaw, whose Old Trafford tenure has been blighted by injuries.
Erik ten Hag's side were linked with a move for the United States international in the recent window, while Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell was also mooted with a move to Manchester.
