Reports from Italian publication Calciomercato flag up reported interest from Erik ten Hag in his compatriot as the player faces an uncertain future with the Serie A outfit.
Dumfries has less than two years left to run on his contract and Inter are understood to be open to cashing in on the 49-cap international next summer.
