Man City ‘entertaining Leroy Sane return’ and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly interested in bringing Leroy Sane back to the Etihad next summer. The winger departed the Blues for Bayern Munich in 2020 and has 18 months left on his contract.

If a renewal is not on the agenda then the German champions could look to sell the 27-year-old for a fee next year. Sane has started this season well, bagging nine goals and seven assists.

It would be more likely that the player signals his intention to leave, as opposed to the club, given he has tallied 47 goals and 44 assists in his 151 games for Bayern. The Treble winners raked in £55m for the attacker three years ago but may be able to prise him back for less. However, a pursuit would not be without challenge, the report says.
