Manchester United could find Ivan Toney back on their radar ‘again soon’ following his outstanding start to the season, according to journalist Dean Jones. The Brentford striker has been in fantastic form in the opening weeks of the current campaign, potentially catching the eye of some of the Premier League’s top clubs.
Last month, The Mirror reported that United had joined Everton and Chelsea in the pursuit of Toney as they looked to strengthen their attacking options.
The trio were reportedly eyeing up moves for the 26-year-old after losing Edinson Cavani, Richarlison and Romelu Lukaku, respectively, although a formal offer never materialised.
Toney made the move to Brentford from Peterborough United for £10 million back in 2020 but Jones has previously told The Football Terrace that it would cost £50m for any potential suitor to prise him away from west London.
