Manchester United could turn Ivan Toney‘s head, claims journalist Pete O’Rourke. The Red Devils were linked with the Brentford striker during the summer transfer window, and O’Rourke does not think they would have any problem luring him to Old Trafford in the near future.
Toney has made a fine start to this season, scoring five goals in seven league outings. As a result, the 26-year-old has been called up to the England squad for their UEFA Nations League games against Italy and Germany.
Following his first Three Lions call-up, Toney said (via Sky Sports): “This is my opportunity now. I’m excited and confident for it and I’m very hungry.
I’ve been working for this moment and it’s here now.” The Brentford striker also impressed last term, scoring 14 times in all competitions for the Bees, and his exploits reportedly caught the attention of United.
