Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will be concerned if Anthony Martial gets a run in the team as the No.9, claims journalist Pete O’Rourke. The former has mainly played up front this season, but it was the latter who got the nod to lead the line in the recent 2-1 win against Everton.
Following the 4-0 defeat to Brentford in August, it has been Rashford. Since that loss, the 24-year-old has played as a centre-forward five times in the Premier League.
He has also repaid the faith manager Erik ten Hag has shown in him, scoring in wins against Liverpool and Arsenal. It must be mentioned, though, that Martial had been out injured.
Since his return, the Frenchman has registered twice against rivals Manchester City, while Ten Hag also decided to start him up front ahead of Rashford the following league game.
