Luke Shaw's injury hell continues for Manchester United. It is already over seven months since his last Premier League appearance, and he is now closing in on an entire year since he last played back-to-back full matches for the club.
Unfortunately for Shaw, who has been out with injury for large periods in two of the last three seasons now, it continues a negative trend.
Despite debuting for Southampton as a teenager in 2012, he is yet to play over 2,000 league minutes in consecutive years. After signing Shaw to effectively replace Patrice Evra at Old Trafford, United's plans to find a backup a decade on have so far faltered.
