Matheus Nunes will face no action from Spanish authorities after reports that he was arrested in Madrid over the last international break were exaggerated.
Manchester City midfielder Nunes was not called up for the Portugal squad last month so enjoyed some free time while the Blues were not in action.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Nunes was involved in an altercation in a Spanish nightclub which was said to have ended in Nunes' arrest in handcuffs and questioning at a police station.
However, MEN Sport understand Nunes was not arrested and police took no action when responding to a call regarding the alleged incident.
