Man City star Matheus Nunes to face no further action amid exaggerated 'arrest' reports

Matheus Nunes will face no action from Spanish authorities after reports that he was arrested in Madrid over the last international break were exaggerated.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Nunes was involved in an altercation in a Spanish nightclub which was said to have ended in Nunes' arrest in handcuffs and questioning at a police station.

However, MEN Sport understand Nunes was not arrested and police took no action when responding to a call regarding the alleged incident.

Police were called but did not arrest Nunes, nor will he face any further action in relation to the incident.

Nunes made his second start of the season on Tuesday night in Bratislava as City beat Slovan 4-0 in the Champions League. It follows his start and goal against Watford in the Carabao Cup a week earlier as the Portuguese
