Lawrence Shankland reveals Hearts issues addressed in dressing room inquest after St Mirren defeat

Lawrence Shankland has revealed the issues he and his Hearts teammates addressed during their dressing room inquest after losing to St Mirren.

The Jambos were beaten 2-0 by the Buddies - a result which saw manager Robbie Neilson sacked the following day. His players remained in the changing for some time after the full-time whistle in an attempt to hash out the issues after a fifth defeat on the spin ahead of this weekend’s Edinburgh derby away to Hibs.

But Shankland insists there were no glaring problems that needed urgent attention, just honest conversations about individuals and their confidence levels.

Interim boss Steven Naismith and assistant Frankie McAvoy have been tasked with restoring that to a squad which has lost it’s way in recent weeks and get the push for third place back on track.
