Aiden McGeady reckons Kieran Tierney is nailed on to play for Celtic again, he's just not sure when. The Scotland star remains out of the picture at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta following a loan to Real Sociedad last season.
Even if it wasn't for an injury suffered during a doomed Euro 2024 campaign, Oleksandr Zinchenko would likely have started the Premiership opener at home to Wolves last weekend in any case.
He's been linked with moves away and a return from Celtic has never been ruled out. The boyhood Hoops fan is said to be more than open to pulling on the green and white again, but the financial odds are stacked against it happening this season, although the Premiership champions do have cash to burn.
However, Tierney would need to take a major pay cut. With Greg Taylor out of contract in the summer and no real back up, calls to bring Tierney home will only intensify if he remains in the shadows in North London.
