Jose Mourinho believes Manchester United-linked Gareth Southgate should be able "to do anything" having dealt with the pressure of being England manager.
According to a report by the Daily Star, United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has installed the Three Lions chief as his 'No.1 target' to replace Erik ten Hag.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News last month, Ten Hag's future is not clear as Ineos continue to get comfortable at Old Trafford.
The report adds that Ratcliffe is 'not convinced' that Ten Hag is the right man to take United forward - even if the club wins the FA Cup this season and secures Champions League qualification.
