Ineos favourite tipped for 'job for life' as Erik ten Hag Man United sack pressure continues

England and Newcastle United legend Paul Gascoigne believes Gareth Southgate will be appointed the next Manchester United manager should Erik ten Hag be sacked.

Southgate has been heavily linked with the United job after being highly appreciated by the new co-owners at Old Trafford Ineos.

The former England head coach, who departed that position after losing the final of Euro 2024, has a close working relationship with the Reds' director of football Dan Ashworth.

The duo worked together previously at the FA and it is believed Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford are among those who have been impressed by the culture Southgate fostered with the national team.
