Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Monday named Sri Lankan Dushmantha Chameera as a replacement for England pacer Gus Atkinson for the 2024 Indian Premier League. The Sri Lankan speedster was a part of Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2018 and 2021 seasons respectively. Someone who can bowl with the new ball, bowl in the death overs and more importantly, someone who can lead the attack," Gambhir, who was present at the auction, said.
Until Tuesday night, this Manchester United crisis did not rank with the final month of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure, the last tumultuous months of Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal's winter of discontent or the chides of March as David Moyes suffered 3-0 home defeats by Liverpool and Manchester City 11 days apart.
