Good Morning Britain viewers were quick to comment on social media as Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley appeared on screens. The pair were at the helm of the ITV news programme as another week was kicked off on Monday (May 22).
However, those tuning in were quick to notice that one of the biggest news stories in entertainment was largely ignored as the pair failed to mention Phillip Schofield's exit from their fellow daytime show, This Morning.
Phillip's exit was only mentioned briefly in the headlines by Ranvir Singh and instead, the show's anchors Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid focused on Tory MP Suella Braverman's speeding fine. The presenter announced he was stepping down with immediate effect on Saturday after 21 years in the role." She added: "ITV has confirmed Holly Willoughby will continue to co-present with members of the This Morning family when she returns from break on June 5th."
